“Happiness manifests from within – happiness does not manifest from without.”

Big, new, shiny things can’t fill the void

In our modern-day world, it is common for many to believe that acquiring as many physical objects as possible, big ones, shiny ones, and costly ones will ultimately bring them true and lasting happiness in their life. While they pursue these objects to a near feverish pitch, they never realize that acquiring these objects alone can never fill the void of unhappiness that they suffer from.

Do not depend upon things to manifest long-lasting happiness

Their state of mind and thus, their vibratory state should not depend upon the material goods that they have or have not accumulated to the present moment. In fact, happiness in our present physical form can never be sustained by the acquisition of physical objects. Rather, it is the pursuit of living in the moment in the presence of positive thoughts and positive feelings which can manifest true happiness.

Live in the moment

Our benevolent Source has given each and every one of us the choice as to how we live in the moment; we can focus upon positive thoughts and positive feelings which manifest a positive vibratory state that ultimately results in true happiness.

We create our own prison walls…that can’t be seen

Or, we can focus upon negative thoughts and feelings which manifest a negative state that can only create prison walls to keep our unhappiness locked-in and our happiness locked-out. Both states can never exist in the same physical space and at the same temporal moment. And fortunately, happiness is stronger than unhappiness and unhappiness will always be conquered by happiness.

There is a bridge between the visible and invisible worlds

There exists within us an invisible world and there exists without us a visible world. Faith in the invisible world holds much promise for us as we visualize lofty dreams and magnificent goals, peace and tranquility, happiness and joy. Belief in the outer world holds little promise for us and can manifest as crushed dreams and vanquished goals, unrest and disharmony, sadness and despair.

We control our inner world

Yet, it is our control over our inner world which creates an outer world of happiness and the division of the two can manifest as one if we use the power of the Source as a bridge between the two.

Where are you building your castle?

The castles we build on the inside lead to true happiness – the castles we build on the outside do not lead to true happiness. As we envision our spiritual castles, created from hope and faith and gratitude, we begin to view happiness and the manifestation of happiness in its true light. Happiness is the supreme form of freedom. Happiness is the supreme form of lightness.

Happiness is love…love is happiness

Happiness is the supreme form of love. When we begin to understand what happiness brings to our physical life, we surround our Self with happiness, we surround our Self with harmony, we surround our Self with the Source, and we experience what life is like from the Creator’s view of the universe.  As we enjoy happiness, more happiness will be drawn to us since like attracts like.

Happiness manifests from within…not from without

If you do not focus upon happiness, you cannot attain happiness. If you do not act towards happiness you cannot attain happiness. If you do not decide upon happiness, you cannot attain happiness. However, it is an eventuality to manifest happiness from within and it all begins with your thoughts and your feelings. When you focus upon, act towards, and decide to be happy in your life, and it does not depend upon your material possessions, you will become happy.

“The health you attain, maintain, and sustain is dependent upon the strength of your connection with the benevolent One.”

connection

Separation causes us great harm

We suffer physically, emotionally, and spiritually when we lose or weaken our most sacred connection; the connection to the benevolent Source. However, quantum physics helps us understand that when we change our focus we change our lives.

We are creators not spectators

We are responsible for what manifests in our lives and awareness of this fact brings change to our unpleasant present situation to a wonderful future; this is a cardinal rule of quantum physics.

Anxiety feasts upon our immune system

In the world we live in, we are witnessing immeasurable pressures which are threatening to tear the fabric of humanity apart. As this anxiety is leveled upon members of our society, it manifests attacks upon our immune systems which lead to a wide range of illnesses that ravage our bodies and minds alike.

Focus upon good health and not ill health

All too often, a sick person’s family, friends, and even medical doctors focus upon the illness which only gives the illness strength and fortifies the negative, unhealthy energy against the positive, healthy energy. For example, doctors commonly quote chances of survival from an illness and naturally, patients as well as those who surround the patient listen to the experts’ opinions and accept all prognostications.

Our bodies have natural defense systems in place

Still, our bodies and our minds cannot identify if a threat is real or imaginary. When we feed our minds and bodies messages of trepidation, consternation, and desperation the results are equal to the input; and when we feed our minds and bodies messages of calmness, happiness, and copiousness the results are equal to the input.

Input creates the same energy

However, there are no moral judgments made, our minds and bodies simply react accordingly to the input, whether real or unreal, since our physicality is inseparable from our spirituality. Rather than listening about the evils of sickness, we should be focusing upon the sacred connection that unites these two elements of our Self as a means to attain, maintain, and sustain wellness.

Healers connect the spiritual with the physical world

There are countless studies which have investigated healing and overwhelmingly, it appears that the results of these studies support what the ancients have been telling us all along; each and every one of us is connected by a sacred field or web of energy. At the heart of these various studies is that the healers, regardless if they represent organized religions, Eastern philosophies, or other traditional beliefs such as shamanism, connect the physical world with the spiritual world, the axis mundi, to visualize the ill person enjoying good health. The healer connects with the unwell person, achieves the same vibrational resonance, and resumes the blocked flow of energy which had caused the illness initially.

Our mind’s focus can heal our body

The results of these various studies clearly demonstrate that we are all connected to the identical field of energy and we are then able to heal and be healed by our minds and our focus. There is further proof in that the sacred connection can occur with the sick person in the same room or even more dramatically, from over far distances. Scientific research has proven that remote prayer has helped groups of AIDS patients and others with coronary dis-ease live longer lives.

There are alternatives to traditional medical practices

Once the medical community at large recognizes, accepts, and implements alternatives to the present forms of treatment now accepted by practitioners and patients alike, the sooner we can make huge leaps in correcting our unwell bodies and minds.

Make way for the ‘new medicine’

When this shift occurs, imagine how the ‘new medicine’ will be. The negatives that bombard us will be replaced by the positive. It will focus on reprogramming negative thoughts with positive thoughts; it will focus upon reprogramming negative beliefs with positive beliefs; and it will focus upon reprogramming negative actions with positive actions.

Prescriptions replaced with meditation

Rather than write yet another prescription for the latest wonder drug, medical doctors will write prescriptions to mediate daily, to read positive books, to talk about positive stories and experiences, to look at positive images, and to listen to positive news.

Your mind and body are one…and inseparable

Accept the notion that your mind and your body are inseparable, and as such, your mind controls your spiritual and physical Self. The amount of control you have over your Self is based solely upon the strength of your connection with the Source. Surround your Self with positive energy to live a healthy and happy life.

“Fulfillment occurs when you conquer your inner world; fulfillment does not occur when you conquer your outer world.”

photo-1416331108676-a22ccb276e35Material wealth doesn’t necessarily lead to happiness

In modern times, while we appear to have greater material wealth than in the past, these kinds of riches do not guarantee a greater sense of happiness, security, and fulfillment. You only need to look at the rate of suicide, substance abuse, and a myriad of forms of self-destructive behavior to understand that material wealth is not directly associated with spiritual wealth. This is not a promotion for Money is Bad – that is not my intention, rather, the love of material goods at the expense of your spirituality is the issue.

Does history repeat itself?

Even though we may face these tragedies in our world, humankind appears to be on a similar path which we witness from almost a century ago. In the 1920’s, eight of the richest financiers in the USA controlled a greater share of the countries’ money than the government.

Wealth can lead you down two paths

This powerful and wealthy group consisted of a Who’s Who from the time including presidents of banks, securities firms, and Wall Street as well as the President’s Cabinet member. While they were wealthy in the early part of the 20th century, within a mere two decades, these public figures suffered greatly: Leo Fraser committed suicide; Arthur Cutton died penniless; Charles Schwab died bankrupt; Jesse Livermore killed himself, Howard Hopson went insane; Richard Whitney a prisoner in Sing Sing Penitentiary, Ivar Krueger died a suicide; and Albert Fall earned early release from prison to die at home. In spite of their tremendous wealth, these men died either by than own hand or insolvent. While they clearly understood how to accumulate wealth, they did not understand how to live fulfilled.

Negativity manifests from disharmony

When we only focus upon material wealth…the demons of self-importance, self-indulgence, self-deprecation, and self-destruction can accompany us along the way. These negative thoughts can then result in disharmony and negative vibrations which do us physical as well as spiritual harm.

Positive vibrations manifest harmony

On the other hand, when you pursue loftier goals first, you are filled with self-confidence, self-esteem, and self-love which results in positive vibrations that support wellness in your physical and spiritual realms.

Conquer your spiritual world for true happiness and fulfillment

Conquering your physical world does not and will not provide the balance in your life which leads to lasting and joyous fulfillment. Conquering your spiritual world does and will provide the true balance in life which leads to lasting and joyous fulfillment.

“A strong connection to the Source allows you to enjoy the rollercoaster ride called life.”

photo-1433100325891-378af68b3b8eOur sacrosanct connection in life

Each of us has a sacrosanct connection to the Source which was formed at the moment of creation. This connection is not prejudiced by age, economics, gender, or education. This connection cannot be severed by time or distance; yet, it can be strengthened by one’s awareness and it can be weakened by one’s lack of awareness of this sacred gift from the Source.

Why do we have this sacred connection?

This connection manifested by and to our Creator helps us to navigate the positive and negative ordeals that we face in our lives as we make this earthly journey.

Why is our connection critical?

It is critical for contentment and achievement in life to understand the power of the connection between your Self and the Source. Consider a person who sets a tremendous goal and wants to achieve it, still, no matter how hard they try they just can’t reach that elusive goal. Most will force their goals upon themselves; they get on edge when things are not as they think they should be and then get even more concerned and more stressed.  However, there are two things to consider.

We achieve our goals by letting go

First, trying hard is not the answer. Feeling anxiety when you face your goals will not make your goals manifest quicker, in fact, they are pushed away from you due to the vibrational state that accompanies your feelings of apprehension. Rather than trying harder and becoming stressed about achieving your goal, the answer is letting go.

A positive state of vibration puts you on the path to achievement

While this strategy appears to be counterintuitive and therefore unproductive, nevertheless, when you let go and not try so hard you are in a positive state of vibration and this allows the universe to line-up all the things necessary to achieve your goal.

A natural state of synchronicity occurs naturally, it cannot be forced

At this time there develops a natural synchronicity with the Source, it is natural and it is not forced. You know when it feels right as everything in your life; your thoughts, your words, and your actions are in sync with the universe, and hence, the Source. A relaxed state of closeness, with the One occurs on a purely spiritual level and not on a physical level which simply cannot be made to happen, it must transpire naturally.

Success runs on universal time…not human time

Second, you can create, develop, and maintain a strong connection to and with the Source when you fully comprehend and fully accept that it is not on earthly time that we achieve what we perceive. Rather, it is upon cosmic timelessness that we perceive and achieve our goals. In order to extend and preserve our sacred connection with the Source, we must open our hearts and our minds to accept the delays that are often accompanied with the results we gain in our lives.

We are creators…not spectators in this life

Quantum physics indicates to us that we are creators and not just spectators within the universe. As such, all things large and small are connected to the Source.  And all things large and small are governed by the Natural Law of cosmic timelessness…there is no getting around this fact regardless of celebrity, gender, education, or location. If this were not so, it would be a complete contradiction of the benevolent Source, where each and every one has equal access to the knowledge of the universe and hence to receive their goals on the timetable of cosmic timelessness.

Express gratitude regardless of the outcome

Since we perceive and achieve our goals in life on cosmic timelessness, it is equally important to express gratitude for all the things, good or bad, that occur in our life. A constant sense of thankfulness for whatever you have and are at the moment enhances your positive vibrations while at the same time it releases your negative vibrations.

Joy is derived from our spiritual connection with the Source, not from our material goods

The Source offers both your goals and your solutions in your life. It is the strength of your connection with the Source that helps you to understand why things happen and why they do not happen. Bumps and bruises along the way make the journey that more enjoyable after conquering the obstacles. In the end, we should gauge our happiness, wellbeing, and success in life by the strength of our spiritual connection with the Source and not our physical manifestations.

“True happiness manifests from negotiation with your Self; true happiness does not manifest from competition with others.”

The new mentality

The new mentality appears to be one where a person must win at all costs and without any regard for ethics or the wrongdoings to humankind or the environment. The media plays this one up where you are Number 1 when you beat the competition down and stand like a triumphant gladiator over a bloodied opponent in the Roman Coliseum. However, this selfish; ME at all cost attitude, can only produce ephemeral happiness and not true happiness which is sustained over a person’s lifetime.

photo-1462040015891-7c792246b10eAre you living your life by negotiation or competition?

A person can live their life through negotiation or competition: the former being in a positive state of vibration while the latter in a negative state of vibration. In a competitive mindset, a person always must outdo their colleagues, their neighbors, their own family members. The act of beating another person is tied to and reflected by the winner’s perception of self-worth: they rationalize if I can own bigger, costlier, and rarer objects than you, then I am worth more to my Self and worth more than your Self.

Your self-esteem can be battered or bolstered

So, when you discover that a friend or colleague has a smaller house, your esteem soars but when you find a friend or colleague with a bigger house your self-esteem takes a dive. And that goes for the model of your car, your watch, your vacations, and any of your earthly possessions. When you base your life and your self-worth upon material goods, you’ll never have the biggest, best, or brightest toy.

Negotiation manifests a higher sense of awareness

True happiness comes when you are constantly in negotiation with your Self. Negotiation focuses upon the awareness of your thoughts, words, and actions at the very moment. As you monitor your thoughts, words, and actions along the Continuum of Awareness, you are striving to be the best you can and the best for humankind. You negotiate your current state of mind to be in a higher state of awareness.

Set aside your ego to attain your goals

You set aside your ego to attain your goals with your life’s journey while encapsulating faith, gratitude, compassion, and ethics. You fully understand that your results occur within cosmic timelessness. You place your faith and belief in the Source to align all the circumstances, persons, and objects that are required to achieve your goal and ultimately your happiness.

How to create positive energy

Your thoughts create the flow of positive energy which effortlessly manifests goals for you, hence, no worry, no fear, no envy, no jealousy, no competition.

Material possessions are temporary, your soul is permanent

In the end, no matter how many material possessions you accumulate in your life, you will not have a minute longer on Earth, you will not be better than anyone else, and you will not have greater happiness. The noted French philosopher Voltaire wrote ‘Man is free at the moment he wishes to be.’ You can instantly achieve the dizzying heights of an eagle and be free of negative thoughts and negative vibrations when you make the decision to be in constant negotiation with your Self and not to be in constant competition with others.

“Be still within the turmoil of everyday life – how else can you achieve true success in life?”

clothesWhat is my place in the universe?

In our life, there is nothing more rewarding than the satisfaction of knowing our place in the universe, our reason for being here, and our connection with the Source. While being in a truly sacred place in life at the moment is the most gratifying and fulfilling for humankind, for most, this is an elusive goal. It is only when the noise of the outer world is blocked-out that we begin to experience the joy of the inner world.

Achieving your goal at any price

We live in a chaotic world where our purpose in life has morphed into How much can I get for myself? And without a single thought of the real cost to anyone or anybody, we run around grabbing at any means to achieve our goal with little regard of your goal. Companies design marketing programs which lead the masses to believe that they simply must have a particular product to be a somebody or a someone in the modern world.

Material goods do not make a person

However, it doesn’t stop there; this monstrous selling machine has no conscience as it grinds out every last penny of profit for greedy stockholders and owners from consumers. It is troubling to find that a person in today’s society is measured by the price of their purse, the status of their watch, and the public’s perception of their car. And sadly, if you or a loved one cannot pay for their vision of how to attain self-worth and happiness, you are a failure. As a result of their marketing muscle, we blindly buy into their ideas how to achieve true happiness and fulfillment in life.  It is no wonder that individuals and society in general suffer so greatly.

Meditation helps us move forward to spiritual satisfaction

It is time to break away from our modern day obsession with material goods as our only purpose and only goal in life. Rather than focus your full attention and energy upon your worldly Self; focus upon your inner Self where the true mansions of happiness and fulfillment exist. A good place to start this journey to override the need to have something or to be someone is to meditate on a regular basis.

Intuition is a true measurement of Self

Meditation has many psychological and physiological benefits and it is not just sitting cross-legged on the floor chanting and burning incense. Rely upon your intuition to decide upon your Self worth. Just as the Source created unique snowflakes; each and every one of us was created with a special purpose in life which runs deeper than what we own. Receive inner satisfaction from nature and the everyday experiences. While we can receive material goods in life, first, experience the sacred connection with the Source to quiet the noise around you and truly experience a meaningful and happy life.

Redefine your purpose in the universe

As we enter into a new millennium, it is time we open our eyes to the injustices of mass consumerism and redefine our place in the universe, our purpose, and our connection with the Source; this is the way to achieve and sustain true happiness and fulfillment in this earthly life.

The only moment you have is this moment.

9. Die each moment so that you can be new each moment.

(Osho’s Ninth New Commandment)

There is but one moment

Many look forward to a future of wealth, prestige, and good health; some look to the past when they had wealth, prestige and good health; and the rest never look at the present moment for wealth, prestige, and good health. However, you can never live in a past moment….you can never live in a future moment. All you have is this moment…the one that just began and the one that just ended.

header15A truly wondrous moment

We live in a truly marvelous moment: one that gives us the sweet songs of the birds, the harmonious rush of the mountain streams, and the gentle whir of the four winds. These natural phenomena are what we should be aware of and what we should express gratitude for…they open our souls to the spiritual, the intense wow from the depths of our very existence. The now.

The moment exists for each of us

However, you must be aware of these things, you must be awake that they exist within you and without you. Each of us has the sacred moment in our soul: we need not be religious, we need not be old or young, male or female. There is no prejudice, there is no exclusion of a single soul based upon their gender, age, location, intellect, health or wealth. The moment is innate within each of us, and it is our responsibility to find that moment, live that moment, be grateful for that moment.

Our role in the moment

Each of us is equal in the eyes of the moment, hence, we are the moment, and if we do not acknowledge the wonder of the moment, it is not complete…the universe is missing a piece of itself because we are the universe. We are unaware of the moment but we cannot separate our soul from the universe any more than our blood can separate itself from our heart;  our breath can separate itself from our lungs; or our thought can separate itself from our minds.

Each moment dies a quick death

This moment exists only once, and as each moment dies, we must accept the next wondrous moment. We must fully live this moment as our last moment, after all, this all there is in life.  Do not focus upon happiness and joy in the future, it can never be experienced in the future because once it stops being the future, it becomes the past.

Every new moment brings wonder

As we die this moment, this allows the next to be born. As a newborn child arrives in the physical world, full of awe, wonder, amazement…we must also see, feel, experience our new moment with awe, wonder, and amazement. Our new moment allows us to embrace what is ours; do not keep it hidden…out of our focus, out of our awareness, out of our consciousness.

Gladfully surrender each wondrous moment to live the next, and as the death of this moment occurs, feel grateful that you have the next new moment to feel the wonder of life surging through your heart, lungs, and mind.

What is life?

2. The only God is life itself

(Osho’s Second New Commandment)

Misguided love

It appears that we in this modern era have turned our love of the Source to the love of things and science. The focus of our affection and adoration has turned from a caring, compassionate entity to cold, inanimate objects of steel and gold. However, it is our new found love that has left us deeply scarred and longing for what we know is the pathway to joy and a meaningful life.

We pass with only our souls

header16Many believe that they can find true happiness from owning the latest purse, watch, car, or mobile phone. They rush out and attempt to find their lost identity in a particular model of phone or purse, spurred on by a feeling of emptiness and want. That new purchase may temporarily fill their needs, however, it can never fill them long term…all new goods soon become out of date, old, not ‘in’ anymore and then the carousel of buying to feel whole starts again with a new one of this or a new one of that. We can never take any of our physical possessions with us when we pass to the next level of existence.

Science is not the answer

Then there are others who rationalize that science can fill their needs, answer all of their questions about life, our reason, and our purpose to be here in our present physical manifestation. They reason that only the seen, those objects that can be measured, and quantified are the ‘real’ things in life. The unseen is not real, it is a canon of fiction and fallacy that poets write about, lover’s dream about, singers sing about, and religious people pray about. However, this idea loses it shine when analyzed critically, after all, we cannot see electricity or gravity but we enjoy the benefits from these two great forces of nature each and every day of our lives. Science may help you live more days, but in the end even this miracle no longer can keep you alive.

Nature is created by a loving Source

The rest of us have a firm belief that there is a wondrous power in nature, a strong force, a timeless energy that has been present since the universe was formed billions of years ago. That force is life itself, and it comes in all shapes and sizes, in all places and at all times. How can we not marvel at a clear blue mountain stream or a stand of stately sequoia trees…both testaments to the oneness of nature, the miraculous plan from our Creator. And nestled in amongst those beautiful moments of nature, we find humankind; our life a miracle, a planned miracle, a marvelous product created by the Source. The belief in a force other than yourself provides long term joy and meaning to this life and those that follow.

Things and formulas cannot fill the hole that exists within your soul, these things can only temporarily mask the emptiness that exists within, they can never truly satisfy a person for long in this life.

Worship life

We should worship life; it is a miracle in whatever form it takes… an eagle, a flower or a human life. Every minute that your hearts beats or you take a breath of air, it is an amazing miracle and we should express our deepest gratitude to feel joy and purpose in our life. Life is the Source…it was, it is, and it will be.
