Your reality is a result of your beliefs

As a enfant, we didn’t write our Life’s Manuscript

As we travel through life, we meet many different people and we have many different experiences. And, the collection of these occurrences are the sum total of our Life’s Manuscript.  Hence, every soul, every life is a story and we react according to what has been written within the pages of our book.

When young, the opinions of others entered into our Life’s Book

When we were growing up, we were both naïve and impressionable, as a result we allowed many people to write a myriad of truths and untruths within the blank pages of our book. Our families, friends, teachers, and a host of other acquaintances throughout our life’s journey took the liberty of imprinting their personal beliefs, whether right or wrong, within our pages. Naturally, we were too young to discern what was the truth about us and what was false about us.

As adults, we now suffer from the earlier writers who gave us our truths, our beliefs, and our self-worth

The problems that many people face in the present are the result of what was consciously and unconsciously written within the various chapters of their Life’s Manuscript in the past. As such, if a young child was told they were not intelligent, they are not intelligent; if a young person was told they were unworthy, they are unworthy; and if a young person was told that money was the root of evil and can only bring unhappiness, they are unhappy in mountains of debt. Sad to say, however, if they are unable to edit out the negative messages, they will remain the same in the future.

The negative messages from our youth can haunt us throughout our adult life

In the end, the paragraphs of your book, which are your beliefs, your unconscious and conscious reactions to the many things that you face in life, manifest as your realities. When a person is in an undesirable place in their life, for example, being in debt or a bad relationship, they want to change their reality. However, their beliefs, which were written long ago, hold them back from moving forward and out of their present situation.

How can we escape our “unpleasent present” from the entries made in our Life’s Manuscript when we were young?

A person struggles with change: they vow to never use their credit card to pay for some unwanted item or they promise never to date an uncaring person. Still, they just cannot change their present unpleasant situation.  It is no wonder then that these people, who are trapped by their beliefs and unable to cope with their realities, suffer from dysfunctional feelings such as fear, depression, and anxiety. Then they turn to drugs, alcohol, and other destructive habits to relieve their hurt.

Your Life’s Manuscript is account of your past and not who you are. You can rewrite what was written

You must realize that your Life’s Manuscript is not who you are, rather, it’s an account of what you have experienced. Like a wise copywriter who is responsible for the end product, you must take sole responsibility and edit out the falsehoods from the different chapters in your life that block personal and spiritual success. Make the effort to rewrite your beliefs and you will rewrite your realities.

Listen to your inner Self to receive what you want to achieve.

In modern times, science usurps the metaphysical world…and this is where many of our problems originate

Our modern world views science with the highest regard while often being critical of the influence the metaphysical world has upon our lives. Needless to say, with this kind of mindset, we rationalize that if we can’t see, hear, smell, touch, or taste it; it must not exist.

What we cannot see still exists

However, we cannot see electricity or gravity and we still reap the benefits of these two unseen forces. This is the same with intuition; while it has no physical properties, it can provide benefits for what we desire to attain in life.

Let intuition guide your words and actions

We all have intuition, you know; an unexplained hunch or a spontaneous reaction from some unknown part of our very Self which can either protect us or help us. For example, you want to drive to your friend’s home and suddenly decide to take an alternative route instead of the one you always do and after arriving safe and sound, you hear about a 36 car pile-up on the freeway at the exact spot where you should have been. It could also be a word from a friend or something you read which results in one of those inspiring moments that just cannot be explained by reason alone. Rely upon your intuition to provide a pathway to your future.

Your inner voice is always 100% correct…it derives from the Source

That inner voice that you hear is the divine connection with the Source. You receive guidance from being in harmony with the universe which results in a powerful flow of positive energy to accomplish what you desire. Although each of us has been freely given the wonderful gift of intuition, few follow this divine path to achieve whatever they want in life.

Dramatic changes occur when you listen to your inner voice

Many simply don’t listen to or have faith in their inner voice which can make dramatic changes in their situation. Still, we would have never been given the free will to determine our goals from the Source without also being given the direction to receive our goals.

How can I prepare myself to receive guidance from within?

The next time you set your mind on a big goal, prepare yourself to receive the path to achieve your desire by your intuition. The first step is to have an exact picture of what you want. Be as specific as possible, so, if it’s a new car, get a colorful brochure; if it’s a new house, draw up the house plans; if it’s a new job, do research about the company you want to work for.

Your plan for success will manifest in universal time, not human time

Remember, at this point, you do not have a plan or the means to get what you want…and if you already have the money or the way to receive what you want the goal simply isn’t big enough.  Next, sit back and relax and have daily visualization sessions that focus on what you want to achieve. Smell the new leather interior, see the children playing in the yard, and enjoy that large paycheck. Now, listen for the plan to get what you want.

Listen…your inner vice is answering your desires, concerns, and wants

If you listen carefully to your inner voice, your intuitive voice, the voice from the Source, and then follow up with consistent action, you must be successful and receive what you want to achieve.

A Tell All…FLY ON THE WALL: DAYS OF SOLITUDE

FLY ON THE WALL: DAYS OF SOLITUDE

This post is different than any I’ve written for quadrant of success.com. It is the result of a number of readers asking about the who’s and the what’s and the why’s of FLY ON THE WALL: DAYS OF SOLITUDE.

How it all started

Several years ago, I was flying from the Middle East to Bangkok and then to our home (in Northern Thailand) for summer break. I sat next to a passenger and naturally, we started talking. The small talk first and then the amazing next. I was shocked as he explained he was from Iraq and had been a political prisoner in the Saddam Hussein era.

His disapproval of the regime.

He mentioned about his dissent aimed at the administration and how he paid dearly for his vocal disagreement and disapproval of the harsh conditions that his countrymen and women were living under the regime.

What price did he pay?

He ended up as a political prisoner and was tortured over a period of time for his anti-government beliefs and practices. Considered a menace, he had to be dealt with accordingly.  However, he was fortunate to live while many others died or killed while in custody.

Inspirational meeting

I found the man’s spirit and determination to live a ‘normal’ life after what he endured inspiring. He was beaten but not beat. He was optimistic and not pessimistic. He had every right to think ill of the world. While his soul, body, and mind had survived under such cruelty, he now looked forward to his future life.

Why write the book?

His tale of torture made me sad but also proud as his great strength in such terrible times mirrored Viktor Frankl’s message of hope and dignity (Man’s Search for Meaning). With this in mind, I knew deep within that I had to write about this experience.

What occurred next?

When I arrived at home, I explained to my wife about our chance encounter.

On my computer Desktop, I have a folder labeled Books to Write. This is where I open a Word Document and write a few lines or perhaps, a few pages about an idea/experience/reading that seems interesting or valuable and should be written about. In this case, a few paragraphs were hastily typed out and archived for the future.

On January 1st, 2018, with my last book completed, it was time for my next project.  I scanned my folder and this title jumped out at me. It kept dancing around in my mind, hence, the story must be written.

The seed for this tale had germinated for a long time, and then it was time to bear fruit.

The story of “Dr. Abdulla”

I mentioned to my wife that I was extremely excited about the possibilities at hand, and explained the plot, format, and other details to her. She asked, “What can you possibly write about to help soothe this horrendous injustice?” I replied, “Honestly, I don’t know, but it’s the right time. I’m ready to honor this courageous soul and every other prisoner who has been tortured for their political beliefs aimed at a cruel regime.

The details of the story

I wanted to write about this tale to show how a brilliant, articulate, American-educated, university professor’s mind deteriorated over a full five years in solitary confinement. There is a deeper message to the story; surely, we must consider how one person can destroy another Self with such vile acts of cruelty, pain, and suffering.

My journey began with research about Saddam’s deeds, Baghdad’s prisons, and the political atmosphere at the time. It was fascinating and depressing to discover unnumbered acts of cruelty and suppression. At some point, many were included in the story.

The PROLOGUE opens with Dr. Abdulla being pursued through Al Zawra Park, Baghdad (pictured on the left), by Saddam’s bloodthirsty henchmen . Although he’s out-numbered, he puts up a valiant effort to remain free; still, he’s cornered, captured, and beaten. In court, his sentence is handed down. He feared facing a firing squad, but instead, received something which could be worse…incarceration for five years in a cramped concrete cell rather than being executed.

Even though he faced a long term under arrest, the ‘kind’ judge offered him a pen and paper which manifested 1,825  journal entries while in solitary confinement (over 100 are included in the 202 page book).

It was a tough decision how to record the journal entries; two possibilities came to mind. First, include a date, for example, January 10, 1992 and then March, 8, 1992 and so forth, moving forward until his ‘tenure’ ended at the prison. This way didn’t capture the feeling of being confined for five years.

Second, was to label the hundred plus journal entries by the number of days incarcerated, from Day 1 until Day 1,825. In my mind, this was a more interesting way to go since it stressed the long duration of time that he was held in jail.  Also, with this focus I could add numerology as another layer of complexity to Dr. Abdulla’s writings.

In order to paint a picture of Dr. Abdulla’s declining mental abilities, there were a wide array of grammatical, lexical, and orthographic devices used: these included, alliterations, malapropism, metaphors, narrative, pathetic fallacy, allegory, oxymoron, paradox, irony, satire, onomatopoeia, and metonymy.

The takeaway message?

In the end, I feel that I’ve accomplished my goal to demonstrate the inhumane treatment that Dr. Abdulla endured because of his political beliefs and its effects upon his mind. Still, the man I met on that plane survived the ordeal a stronger person who only wanted to resume a normal life.

“Each and everyone one of us is ‘of’ and ‘from’ the Source with our divine connection being vibrational energy.”

The ancients appeared to have a sense of responsibility to future generations

The ancients lived their lives centered upon spiritual beliefs and customs which formed the very underpinnings of their societies. While the majority of these ancient civilizations have long passed through a portal of extinction, nevertheless, it seems that they have granted us their beliefs and customs out of a sense of responsibility to the future generations of humankind.

We have been given a road-map for success in this life

However, while we have been fortunate to receive a road-map to achieve a joyous and fulfilled life, many in today’s contemporary world are less than grateful for the wisdom which has been freely and openly handed to us for our own benefit.

Supreme Intelligence; if there’s a design, there must be a designer

As the ancients spoke and wrote of an omnipotent One with the power and wisdom to create and sustain the physical environment of the past, present, and future, it is only in recent times that modern-day science is beginning to support the notion that this Being exists. In general, science and scientists alike have arrived at the conclusion that Supreme Intelligence is responsible for the creation and maintenance of the universe and every beast and creature which inhabits this immeasurable domain of space.

We are stardust, and we are connected to the Source

Since we as humankind are part of the cosmos, we are made-up of the same elements which comprise the cosmos itself. And since the Source created everything and everyone in the universe, we are divinely connected to the Source and to each and everything that exists within the universe. We are connected by the shared elements that exist throughout the cosmos and by vibrational energy…vibrational energy which causes everything and everyone to vibrate at a quantum level and hence, everything and everyone is not a solid object as it appears before our eyes. And, this pool of vibrational energy attracts like and repels unlike.

What we think, do, and say manifest our past, present, and future

Since vibrational energy is attracted to a similar vibrational resonance and it is repelled by a dissimilar vibrational resonance, humankind has been given a miraculous method to achieve what they want from life. The thoughts, words, and actions which result from our predominate thoughts and feelings experienced on a day-to-day basis manifest what we truly love or what we truly abhor.

You need to achieve Vibrational Accord to be successful

There cannot be vibrational harmony when you want a loving relationship and then think that everyone is a liar and a cheat. You cannot be in vibrational harmony when you want abundance and then think that there is lack everywhere around you. You cannot be in vibrational harmony when you want a higher paying job when you then think that your present job is hopeless and meaningless. Your thoughts are incongruent with your wants and you cannot experience change living this state of Vibrational Discord. You must attain and sustain a state of Vibrational Accord to make meaningful changes in your life.

A never ending cycle of reincarnation should eliminate our fear of death and our fear of life

It is also known that this vibrational energy can neither be destroyed nor created; as a result of this Universal Law, each and every one of us does not cease to exist time immortal, we only cease to exist in the physical form that we have assumed at the present moment. Rather than just be hurdled into oblivion when we pass this earthly existence, we live a multitude of lives and as such are eternal beings as we shed this physical form and return to the Source as pure energy and then return as physical beings only to return to the Source as pure energy again. This never ending cycle of reincarnation should eliminate our fear of death and our fear of life. There can be no severing of the vibrational energy that connects us to the Source.

Vibrational energy is our divine connection

Vibrational energy, the very essence of our inner and outer being of existence, is the divine connection we experience with and to the Source. This divine bond ensures a multitude of lives in many physical forms and a unique opportunity to achieve what we want to achieve while experiencing those many forms of existence.

“Your connection to the Source can help your Self and others as well.”

Your connection with the Source tears down boundaries and limitations

The Source provides each of us with the innate ability and the natural means to live a fully connected life where we our physical health, our material wealth, and our spiritual Self can prosper without limits or boundaries. While our awareness permits us to live a fulfilling connected life, there are those family members and loved ones who may not be aware of the benefits that such a life provides to a committed follower of the Source and the Natural Laws.

Live by example to help those around you

Even though we want to help those around us who are less fortunate in life, rather than preach about the many physical, materially, and spiritual benefits that we can receive from the Source, it is our living by example that will do the most benefit to those around us who are not enjoying physical health, material wealth, or a spiritual Self.

Your being unwell doesn’t help those who are unwell

If a loved one or a relative is sick, you cannot help that sick person by being sick yourself. No matter how unwell you may become in response to another’s sickness, your reaction to another’s illness will never help them escape nor your Self from the negative vibratory state that you both will inhabit at that particular moment. A person, who is sick, is sick by their own thoughts, their own beliefs, and their own actions. Somehow and for some reason they have severed their connection to the Source and they need to regain that connection to regain and maintain good health. Once you truly accept the idea that their sickness cannot get better by your sickness, there are things that can you do to truly help an unwell person.

Illness perpetuates illness

When we look at how most people react to a loved one’s sickness it is little wonder that the sickness continues to thrive and choke the life out from the ill person. Most will feel pity for the person and their thoughts, beliefs, and actions help support the negative vibratory state that surrounds the ill person. I’m not saying that you should be callous and uncaring for an ill person, especially when that person is a loved one, however, there is a great deal of difference between feeling pity for a sick person and felling empathy.

Envision good health to create a positive vibratory state

Instead of feeling pity, which maintains and sustains negative energy and continued illness, be a role model of good health to help your sick family member or friend to feel better, this act in and of itself will aid in reconnecting an unwell person to the Source. When you are in the presence of the person, envision them enjoying good health, envision them smiling, and enjoying life in a positive vibrational state. When you think and speak of them in their absence, again, only think positive, happy thoughts. In the end, your positive thoughts, beliefs, and actions can only result in the same for the ill person and when you emit positive energy, negative energy cannot exist in the same time and space.

You can escape from your unpleasant present

If a loved one or family member is poor, you cannot help that person out of poverty no matter how poor you become. They are existing within a realm of negative energy and your lack of abundance cannot help their lack of abundance, it can only prolong and sustain the lack of abundance that both of you share. A person, who is poor, is poor by their own thoughts, their own beliefs, and their own actions. Somehow and for some reason they have severed their connection to the Source and they need to regain that connection to escape from their present unpleasant situation and attain a life of abundance which each of us is entitled to from the Source.

Your lack of abundance won’t help others who suffer from a lack of abundance

Accept that your lack of abundance can never help another’s lack of abundance and rather than wallow in poverty and want, help that person reconnect with the Source which is the only way to escape from lack and a negative vibratory state. How we react to another’s poverty can help them escape or keep them shackled where there are at the unpleasant present.

Don’t offer pity…offer thoughts, feelings, words, and acts of abundance

Rather than give the poor person money, which is given out of pity and further supports and sustains a negative state, be a role-model of abundance and positive energy which the person can then emulate in their own life. In their presence, do not offer pity…offer abundance instead by your thoughts, your beliefs, and your actions. By witnessing and being surrounded by positive thoughts, beliefs, and actions, an impoverished person’s thoughts, beliefs, and actions can no longer compete with or occupy the same environment either mentally or physically as what is found throughout your positive vibrational state.

Take full responsibility for your present vibratory state

If a loved one or a family member is spiritually unwell or poor, your accompanying them in an equally unwell or poor spiritual state cannot and will not ever help them escape from this cycle of negative being. Do not take the blame for them and do not see your Self as selfish when you focus upon your spirituality; it is when you focus upon your spiritual growth and the results you achieve which ultimately can be a beacon of possibility for others. After all, they and they alone must take full responsibility for their spiritual illness and poorness and they alone must provide the opportunity to allow their present unpleasant state to manifest a state of spiritual wellness and abundance.

Be a billboard of positive energy to others around you

While they must move the mountain to gain a spiritual life, you can help them by being a billboard of spirituality for your family and friends. Others will notice as you set your goals based upon the non-physical world rather than the physical world. Others will notice when you measure the accomplishment of your goals based upon cosmic timelessness and not upon human time. Others will notice when you harbor no fear, jealousy, or envy and they will notice when you show love, compassion, and joy for the physical world that you exist within.

Positive energy attracts positive words, actions, feelings, and thoughts

In the end, being connected to the Source can help you enjoy a fulfilling life and it can help others enjoy a fulfilling life as well. There is something very assuring and therefore very appealing about a person who manifests a strong connection with the Source. The positive aura that follows this person as they go about their daily routines does not go unnoticed as others are drawn to the positive vibratory state which envelops such a soul. Being connected to the Source is the best you can do for your Self and for others.

“The health you attain, maintain, and sustain is dependent upon the strength of your connection with the benevolent One.”

connection

Separation causes us great harm

We suffer physically, emotionally, and spiritually when we lose or weaken our most sacred connection; the connection to the benevolent Source. However, quantum physics helps us understand that when we change our focus we change our lives.

We are creators not spectators

We are responsible for what manifests in our lives and awareness of this fact brings change to our unpleasant present situation to a wonderful future; this is a cardinal rule of quantum physics.

Anxiety feasts upon our immune system

In the world we live in, we are witnessing immeasurable pressures which are threatening to tear the fabric of humanity apart. As this anxiety is leveled upon members of our society, it manifests attacks upon our immune systems which lead to a wide range of illnesses that ravage our bodies and minds alike.

Focus upon good health and not ill health

All too often, a sick person’s family, friends, and even medical doctors focus upon the illness which only gives the illness strength and fortifies the negative, unhealthy energy against the positive, healthy energy. For example, doctors commonly quote chances of survival from an illness and naturally, patients as well as those who surround the patient listen to the experts’ opinions and accept all prognostications.

Our bodies have natural defense systems in place

Still, our bodies and our minds cannot identify if a threat is real or imaginary. When we feed our minds and bodies messages of trepidation, consternation, and desperation the results are equal to the input; and when we feed our minds and bodies messages of calmness, happiness, and copiousness the results are equal to the input.

Input creates the same energy

However, there are no moral judgments made, our minds and bodies simply react accordingly to the input, whether real or unreal, since our physicality is inseparable from our spirituality. Rather than listening about the evils of sickness, we should be focusing upon the sacred connection that unites these two elements of our Self as a means to attain, maintain, and sustain wellness.

Healers connect the spiritual with the physical world

There are countless studies which have investigated healing and overwhelmingly, it appears that the results of these studies support what the ancients have been telling us all along; each and every one of us is connected by a sacred field or web of energy. At the heart of these various studies is that the healers, regardless if they represent organized religions, Eastern philosophies, or other traditional beliefs such as shamanism, connect the physical world with the spiritual world, the axis mundi, to visualize the ill person enjoying good health. The healer connects with the unwell person, achieves the same vibrational resonance, and resumes the blocked flow of energy which had caused the illness initially.

Our mind’s focus can heal our body

The results of these various studies clearly demonstrate that we are all connected to the identical field of energy and we are then able to heal and be healed by our minds and our focus. There is further proof in that the sacred connection can occur with the sick person in the same room or even more dramatically, from over far distances. Scientific research has proven that remote prayer has helped groups of AIDS patients and others with coronary dis-ease live longer lives.

There are alternatives to traditional medical practices

Once the medical community at large recognizes, accepts, and implements alternatives to the present forms of treatment now accepted by practitioners and patients alike, the sooner we can make huge leaps in correcting our unwell bodies and minds.

Make way for the ‘new medicine’

When this shift occurs, imagine how the ‘new medicine’ will be. The negatives that bombard us will be replaced by the positive. It will focus on reprogramming negative thoughts with positive thoughts; it will focus upon reprogramming negative beliefs with positive beliefs; and it will focus upon reprogramming negative actions with positive actions.

Prescriptions replaced with meditation

Rather than write yet another prescription for the latest wonder drug, medical doctors will write prescriptions to mediate daily, to read positive books, to talk about positive stories and experiences, to look at positive images, and to listen to positive news.

Your mind and body are one…and inseparable

Accept the notion that your mind and your body are inseparable, and as such, your mind controls your spiritual and physical Self. The amount of control you have over your Self is based solely upon the strength of your connection with the Source. Surround your Self with positive energy to live a healthy and happy life.
