A plan to read is a plan to succeed

Reading is empowerment of a soul

In an earlier session, we learned that reading is a means of empowerment which provides us with countless ideas to develop a successful attitude and a successful mind. I wonder how many readers sat down and created a plan and then acted upon their plan.

Buy a book…don’t borrow one or expect one for free

To the ones who bought their books and read them – congratulations, you must have experienced a new world of ideas that gave you strength, wisdom, and motivation to change your inner and ultimately, your outer world. How can you possible put a price upon what you gain from the written word? Since I strongly believe (as well as others) that reading is a critical step to success, here’s yet another opportunity for me to climb back onto the soap box and write about the virtues of reading. 

Emotions lead to a sacred connection

The physical act of reading connects our inner self with our outer self and as a result, wondrous things manifest in this meeting between the two. As our eyes pour over the written text, our brain processes what we see and transfers those written words into emotions. We know that emotions are our sacred connection between the Source and our Self which guide creation in our lives. As such, these deep felt emotions are the impetus to change our thoughts and we then change our behaviors which then change our results.

Support your favorite author while you invest in your Self at the same time

I strongly encourage you to go out and buy the books written by your favorite authors rather than borrow them from a friend. Before you close your mind to this suggestion, consider what you are conveying to the universe when you borrow rather than buy that self-help book or novel. If you do not invest in your Self with your money, there is the perception that you are unable to do so. Hence, this is poverty thinking, thoughts of want, lack, and scarcity surround your decision and you can only receive more back of the same from our benevolent Creator. These thoughts are disempowering. 

Does borrowing a book lead to empowerment or entitlement?

Now, think about the opposite for a moment. What is the difference between borrowing and buying that printed marvel? When you use your money to buy the books that will change your life, you do so with thoughts of abundance, joy, and gratitude which can only result in returning the same back into your life. These thoughts are empowering.

Buying a book is a WIN WIN situation

And as you invest in your future, you are providing compensation for the writer who wrote their ideas and experiences down to help you and others to have a better life. In this case, both win. And let’s not forget the physical presence of a hundred or a thousand books on your book shelve. You are quite literally surrounded by wisdom and experience that you cannot ever experience in many lives and they are all at your very fingertips.

Books shape our future and our friends

In the end, it is the people we meet and the books we read that shape our future. When we embrace the written word we receive lasting changes which create a new life of wonder and excitement. So, don’t wait to create, create your plan to read now.

In order to receive something from others, we need to give something +1 back to others

Give BEFORE you receive

Many think that they will start to give after they receive. This thought manifests from fear…fear that what they have in the present is given away and leaves them with less than what they will have in the future. Little do they realize that this reverse thinking can only lead them back to a life of want and poverty.

Your thoughts, words, and actions determine what vibrational state that you occupy

When we fear that we will lose our material wealth, we enter into a state of vibration that can only attract to us what we don’t want in life. By contrast, we can create abundance with our gifts and not create lack. Therefore, when we give freely to others, this action puts us in a creative and cooperative mode and not a competitive mode. Being in this positive state brings success to our doorways. Empires have been built upon this premise; think about the success and the philanthropy of the great motivational speaker and writer, Anthony Robbins.

Successful internet marketers know it is best to give before they receive

Here’s yet another example of how we can reach success by giving to others first before we receive what we want. The successful Internet marketers have taken this simple idea and have it down to a science. They understand the concept that they must give in order to receive. So, when you purchase their latest e-book for $39.99, they give you six free gifts worth hundreds of dollars more than your original investment. And the chances are that you will buy again from the same marketer in the future since you have received much more than what you paid for.

Give of your Self and not just give money to help others

Nevertheless, this is not just about giving money, it’s about giving of your Self. It’s about giving your time, your expertise, or of your knowledge to help others. For example, you can volunteer at a homeless shelter, conduct a fund raising event, or tutor young entrepreneurs in your hometown. In the end, it’s not about what you give, rather, it’s about how you give.

However, you must give without a scale to measure what you will receive back for your philanthropy

When you give freely of yourself or your material goods, without guilt or obligation, you receive deep joy and gratitude for what you have done. As a result, these feelings place you in a state of positive vibration which then attracts even greater benefits back to you.

Don’t think to get this I must give that…this kind of thinking will backfire on you

This is not to say that you should just give and give and not expect anything in return. I mean that you should receive, however, it certainly is not by thinking that you should get that when you give this. This kind of thinking will surely back-fire and your goals will be pushed further away and manifest as grief in the future.

Give freely to manifest positive feelings which in turn, manifest the results you are striving to attain

You get what you want in your life when you help others get what they want in their life. No one holds a scale to weigh what you get is equal to what you give. It is beyond the materials that are given. It is the positive feelings that you emit to the universe once you have freely given to others, in whatever shape or form that may be, which triggers the gates of abundance to be opened to you. Surely, when you consciously make it a point to give more to someone than what you expect back, you benefit greatly from your own unselfishness acts. this is the Law. 

It’s a WIN -WIN situation for them and you

Think about this when giving: I give something +1 to others for them to be successful which helps me to become successful. At the heart of this thinking…it’s a WIN-WIN situation.

Create your life through dedication, discipline, and deadlines.

Success, in whatever form it takes for you, is not just wishful thinking

We buy a motivational book, hear a motivational speaker, or listen to a webinar and we come to the conclusion that with little or no effort on our part, except for wishful thinking, we can sit back and wait patiently for success to walk through our door. No wonder we have shattered dreams and broken lives.

Success is innate, but it still has to be ignited by your actions

Even though we harbour within ourselves the means to achieve an unimaginable level of success, we still need to take action to receive our end goal, and this is The Law.

Don’t just TRY to achieve your goals

It seems that many try to achieve their goals, but, they try until the next great idea comes along and then they try that one for a while and the cycle goes on and on. In the end, they just give up and believe that success is meant for everyone else except for them. However, when we try to reach our goals, we really are not giving it our all, it is just a half-hearted attempt and this lack of commitment keeps success just out of reach.

A simple, yet precise path for your success

Rather than just try to achieve our dreams, we need to follow this simple, yet effective formula to accomplish those lofty aspirations: dedication, discipline, and deadlines. 

Dedication is the STICKTIVITY in our lives

Dedication is making that extra effort when you tired, beat-down, and held-back from achieving your goals. Yet, we must endure even when things look the bleakest to accomplish what we want from life. It often happens that our greatest set-back prepares us for our greatest triumph. In order to be able to have sticktivity in our lives, it is important to make the right choice initially. This way, if there are some bumps upon the road to success, you still keep going around, under, or through those roadblocks.  

Discipline is the deal breaker and deal maker

Discipline is doing what you need to do even though you may not want to do it. It is easy to get distracted in our techno world. Still, something must be done, anything, no matter how small each and every day to move you towards your goals. When we think about sales, it is not always the smoothest talker that achieves success, rather, it is the most disciplined who do certain things regularly that succeed in a big way.

Deadlines are the crucial yardstick for success

Deadlines keep us on track, so, they are a crucial yardstick for success. Still, if you let deadlines manifest negative emotions, you only drive success further away from you. Manage your deadlines and do not allow your deadlines to manage your emotions.  

Attaining success is a easy as the three D’s

While we have to work at our goals, there are ways to be sure we keep on track when we are tired and up against it. As you pursue your lofty dreams in life, remember The Triple D’s and the impact they can have upon your achievements.
