Trees touch every facet of our modern world: the religion we practice, the myths that have been handed down to us from the past, and even the language we speak in the form of a wide variety of, metaphors and similes. It can be said that trees are the true saviors of humanity and the lungs of Mother Earth. They provide us with life; nourish our souls and bodies, and mold our environment. These majestic wonders of nature have anchored the lands and touched the heavens for millions of years, all the while being willing servants of Mother Earth. In the process, they have influenced our climate, and molded the local environment for the betterment of humanity. In addition to working side by side with our benevolent Mother, one of the oldest species on the planet has provided protection,food, and natural medication for all races and cultures. Surely, we can all agree upon the fact that these noble giants are an integral part in the wheel of survival for the human race. This being the case, we are then physically and spiritually inseparable from the forests that permeate our world.
